The Story That God Wrote
One thing I love about wedding photos is how they tell a story. They mark the end of one season and the beginning of another. But that story goes back in time, long before the first click of the camera at your ceremony. Your wedding photos celebrate where you’ve been and where you’re going - the lifetime of love that is to come and the story that God wrote to lead you to where you are today.
For Juliana and Tracy, that story started in a church - the church that Tracy has attended with his family for years! Juliana began attending there while studying nursing at Duquesne and little did they know their friendship would grow into much more! Tracy asked Juliana on their first date, which they spent at Phipps Conservatory during Christmastime. And they never looked back! As time went on, they became more and more confident that they had found “the one”. When I asked them if this realization came in a moment or over time, they explained that it happened gradually. As they spent time together and had conversations about what’s important to them - about what really matters - they just knew. Not only were they getting to know each other’s personalities, likes, dislikes - they were getting to know each other’s hearts.
In January, Juliana was planning a trip to Canada with Tracy to spend time with her family. What she didn’t know was that Tracy was bringing a ring! On a snowy overlook in Montreal during a hike together, Tracy popped the question! Neither of them can remember much of what was said - they just remember the joy and excitement of that moment!
And that joy and excitement was carried by them all through their engagement, to their wedding day. It was clear that their joy was not an earthly joy or based on feelings - it was based in Jesus Christ. God is the One who gave them each other and true, eternal joy through His Son. That is where Juliana and Tracy’s story really started. It started with His love for them! Their day was a reflection of Christ’s joy and love - The Story that will last forever!
