Legacy of Love
Katy and Seth’s story began back in high school. Aren’t high school sweethearts the best?! It means that they have already been through so much of life being best friends. And now they get to spend the rest of their lives the same way - together. Being part of Katy and Seth’s wedding day and getting to watch them marry their best friend was an incredible joy.
At Katy and Seth’s wedding, it was clear that they wanted to celebrate each other and the love they share. But that’s not the only story they wanted to celebrate! An incredibly special detail of their story was the ring Seth gave to Katy when he popped the question. He didn’t have to go out and decide what Katy liked best because he already knew what would be the most special - he proposed with her grandmother’s engagement ring. What a precious moment! Not only was the story of their marriage beginning, but through that story they would be carrying on a legacy of years of love. On their wedding day, Katy’s grandma told me that this ring is 71 years old! She and Katy’s grandpa were married for 68 years before he passed away. And to make these memories even more special, Seth wore the watch the belonged to Katy’s grandpa. It was so clear that Katy and Seth were all about carrying on this legacy of love, one that started long before Seth got down on one knee. And they’ll keep carrying on that story as they begin their life together!
Their beautiful wedding day at Armstrong Farms was no different! It was all about love, family, and memories. From the signing bench at their reception made by a friend and the gorgeous florals from Posies by Patti, to the cake topper on display from Katy’s parents’ wedding cake, it was clear that they had put so much thought and meaning into their wedding day. They were not only celebrating their love, but the love stories of their parents and grandparents before them. Now they were making new memories and preparing to walk through life together and keep writing the story of their own. What a legacy!
