“What is love?” Have you ever thought about that question? Some people say it’s a feeling. Others say it’s a person. But the Bible says that love - real love - is laying down your life for someone else (see John 15:13). It is action. It is being a servant. It is thinking of others more than yourself. And that is the kind of love that Meredith and Josh show for each other!
With even just a brief glance at their story, this becomes so evident! Mer and Josh met while working in nursing together, which shows their hearts of service for the people around them. They not only supported each other in their work every day, but also as they attended church, went on missions trips, and spent time with each other’s families. Their focus wasn’t on themselves, but on each other! As they served Jesus by serving other people, God was drawing their hearts and their stories together. Being with Mer and Josh, it is clear that they truly love each other. Their wedding day had so many fun details (I mean, who doesn’t love a donut table?!) but they didn’t let those details distract them from why they were really there. Their focus was on displaying the love of Jesus through the love they share. They even shared a “last dance” before they left their reception. Everyone had gone outside to send them off, but they took a moment for one last dance to refocus on each other and spend a quiet moment together. Clearly, Mer and Josh both have such hearts of service - of real love - and now they get to spend the rest of their lives serving their Savior together. I can’t wait to watch them do it and see the rest of their story unfold!
