It was a crisp, fall day in mid-October. To Meredith, it looked as though Josh was simply taking her on a date to McConnell’s Mill. But apparently Josh had other plans! ;) As they walked down one of the paths near the mill, Josh *just happened* to notice that there were some decorations in the trees up the path from them. So he said they should investigate! Mer insisted that they turn around because clearly someone was getting engaged and it would be so embarrassing if they interrupted!! But Josh pulled her along and as they got closer, Meredith saw photos hung across the branches of the trees on strings of lights. As she looked closer she recognized the people in the pictures - the two of them! Josh and some of Meredith’s siblings had decorated the entire area with photos and other fall decorations. And to top it all off, there was a pumpkin sitting on a rock with letters on it that spelled out, “Will you marry me?” SO sweet, right?!
Clearly their proposal story is one to remember. It was all about looking back on how far they had come, yet looking ahead to this exciting season in their lives. We had so much fun at Phipps Conservatory, capturing their excitement, joy, and anticipation in these photos. And I can’t WAIT to keep celebrating that same joy and love they have in Christ - next time on their wedding day!
