Ariel & Levi
Ariel & Levi’s story is a beautiful one. In the summer of 2017, this sweet couple met at a church camp and bonded over their mutual love for Jesus. With Levi in Kansas and Ariel in Indiana, most of their relationship was long distance. But for the summer of 2018, Levi moved to Indiana so that he and Ariel could do life together (so precious, right?!). Throughout their relationship, they spent much of their time traveling the states to visit friends and family, which was a huge priority to them.
On one of these trips to visit family, Levi had an important question for Ariel. She thought they were just heading out to grab donuts together for breakfast. But on the way there, Levi stopped at a park where there was a long path - the same location where he said “I love you” for the very first time! But this time he proposed! You can guess what her answer was!! They DID still get donuts of course - but in Ariel’s words: “Finally found a ring I like better than doughnuts!” :) To incorporate this part of their story into their wedding day, at the reception they had a donut wall - yes, you read that right: donut WALL!!! And instead of a traditional cake, they cut a waffle cake, made by one of Ariel’s close friends, to add to the breakfast theme. So creative and unique!
As I skyped with Ariel and Levi several times before their wedding, it became very clear to me that to them, their day was about sharing their story, their love for Jesus, and celebrating with the people they love. When I asked them what the most important photos were for them to have from their wedding day, one of the first things they said was candid moments with their friends and family. They knew that those would be the moments they would cherish for years to come - their first look, the song Levi’s brothers sang to them at the reception, the prayer time they set aside with their parents before leaving for their honeymoon. It is so evident that they love Jesus, each other, and the people surrounding them - and their wedding day reflected that love!
