I remember when...

I had that feeling - the feeling when you know that this is your passion, that this is what you want to do for the rest of your life. That's how I felt after photographing my first wedding! But I had no idea how much I would grow to truly love photography and experience what a simple photo can really mean.

The value of a photograph...

During that exciting season is when I personally understood the value of a photograph. Mixed with all my hopes and plans was also grief and loss - my grandpa, who I was very close with, had just passed away. But I remember one afternoon sitting at my aunt's dining room table, flipping through old photo albums. As we reminisced, she handed me a photo from her wedding. At a glance, it simply looked like a little, blonde flower girl sitting on a man's lap. But to me it was much more - that flower girl was me. And that man was my grandpa. Instantly, that photo became more than a snapshot. It was now a priceless memory. I couldn't even remember that moment, but that photo remembered it for me - it gave me that memory back.

Genuine and unscripted...

And what makes it so beautiful is that it was real - a genuine and unscripted moment of my life. It wasn't posed or planned, it was simply a storyteller documenting an authentic moment and making it a memory. That's what I love capturing through the lens for you. Your memories are precious. To me, that's why photography is so much more than just pressing a button on a camera - it's an opportunity to step into your life, to build a relationship, to capture your genuine moments, and transform them into joyful memories. And I think that's so beautiful!
